A team of historians and archaeologists from the Department of Cultural Management and Development and the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) took over the scene, determining that what Mr. Karlsson found was a Bronze Age treasure.

“Most of the items are made of bronze, related to a woman of high status” – said Professor Johan Ling from the University of Gothenburg.

The treasure includes many exquisite necklaces, necklaces, pins, decorative objects… made by famous jewelers of ancient Scandinavia. They were buried deep in the soil, in a gap between two large rocks, but when Mr. Karlsson discovered it, it had been partially dug up, possibly by wild animals.
