The 2-year-old dog was in the late stage of pregnancy, estimated to have about 10 puppies about to be born. In the video, Nong Horm’s owner, Buncherd Praprom (35 years old), sat beside the gasping dog, with multiple bite marks around its muzzle caused by the venomous snake

The incident was discovered when Suriyon Chanthakhet, Buncherd’s brother, heard Nong Horm’s loud barking in the front yard and rushed out, but it was too late.
Suriyon blamed himself for not being able to save the loyal family dog. He said, “Nong Horm was the best beloved pet our family had ever taken care of. It was very loyal, even willing to sacrifice its life for us.” The family decided to bury the faithful dog’s body in the backyard garden.
