The wildebeest tried everything he could to get his foot out of the crocodile’s mouth, but an unexpected turn of events later solved it.
While wading into the river to drink water, the wildebeest was bitten on its hind leg by a crocodile. Trying his best, he dragged the crocodile to shore but quickly exhausted himself. The crocodile slowly pulled the antelope back into the water.
While in despair, preparing to become food for crocodiles, a surprise appeared. The hippos stood from afar watching everything that happened. The hippo suddenly rushed to attack the crocodile, forcing the crocodile to release the antelope.
It’s unclear what the hippos’ purpose was, but the hippopotamus just saved a gazelle’s life. Although the antelope escaped from the crocodile, it seemed to have been seriously injured in its hind leg. This greatly affects its survival in the following years. Cannot run, which means it easily becomes a lucrative prey for other land animals.
