Lions and hyenas are known to be two higher predators in nature. Also because of the war for food to survive, lions and hyenas became arch-rivals.
The feud between lions and hyenas stems from a simple reason, a dispute over food sources.
A lioness has hunted a large wildebeest in the Masai Mara National Park in Kenya. When the lion was about to enjoy its prey, a pack of hyenas suddenly appeared to disrupt its meal.
Taking advantage of the majority, the hyenas attacked the lion from many sides, making it unable to respond. The lion ran away in pain after being bitten by a hyena.
With the extreme attack of the hyena, the lion cannot counterattack, but can only run and scream.
Although it takes hard work to hunt for breakfast, the lion is forced to share with the hyenas.
The lion doesn’t seem to be willing to share his breakfast rations with the opportunists, so he occasionally rushes to attack the hyenas standing around.
Not only hyenas, jackals a little later also appeared to compete for the lion’s food.
The curious herd of wild buffaloes approached to witness the hyena and jackal tearing apart the corpse while the lion was gone.
