Having a photographer at the birth of a child is not a common thing these days. Birth photos are a beautiful memory of one of the most extraordinary experiences in a mother’s life. A Florida-based family photographer, Kathy Rosario, captured the emotional moment when her close friend gave birth to her third child, a girl, during a home birth in the water.

Photographer Kathy Rosario of K Ro Photography has always been interested in capturing stunning photos of pregnancy, childbirth, and babies. According to Kathy, when a woman gives birth at home, she creates a different atmosphere filled with pure happiness and tranquility. She’s used to capturing moments of clinic births, but there’s something about home birth that makes the moment even more special.

There is something fascinating about childbirth. Despite the pain and rawness, childbirth and the history of childbirth have drawn people in for as long as we can remember. It’s not really a surprise then that images of childbirth and newborns arouse our curiosity and evoke a sense of quiet joy, even though the photos can be confronting.
