Hippos are wild animals that eat plants and animals, they often eat riverbed plants and small fish. They are mainly nocturnal animals and live in freshwater bodies such as rivers, lakes and streams.
Hippos are gentle and friendly by nature, rarely attacking animals around, but when threatened or disturbed hippos can attack and kill other animals.
The following video captures a scene of a hippo resting in a swamp when a herd of hyenas chases an antelope to disrupt the hippo’s sleep, making the hippo very angry.
When the baby antelope met the hippopotamus, it seemed to have been saved, but the hyenas still refused to give up and they constantly cried out to put pressure on the hippo, making the hippo hunter even more angry.
When the anger was beyond endurance, the hippopotamus rushed to bite the poor wildebeest, because the antelope was buried in the mud when suddenly attacked by the hippopotamus, did not have time to escape.
The hippopotamus, after biting the antelope to death, bit the antelope’s head and threw it ashore for the hyenas to take the carcass elsewhere to eat so as not to disturb it.
