Many stories of dogs’ loyalty and sacrifice for their owners have made international news. And, more recently, another story of that incredible love has moved hundreds of people to tears.

Jeco Macs, the owner of Moana, posted the story on his own Facebook page. He was watching television when he heard Moana barking in the yard and saw the dog bite and drag a cobra down the stairs.

Macs quickly destroyed the snake, relieved that Moana’s actions had saved the entire family. At first, he had no idea that the dog had been bitten by a snake, and he brags about Moana’s accomplishments on social media.

“Moana, I love you! You really are a girl! You are responsible for saving your family. Respect your dogs, as they are incredibly intelligent and will risk their lives to rescue you. Because they appreciate you more than anything else in their life.”

In the attached image, Moana is shown smiling with a dead snake. However, this dog died suddenly a few minutes later. It didn’t take long for the puppy’s joy to turn to grief. Moana was killed by the cobra before her owner’s family could take her to the vet.

This story immediately received a lot of attention from the internet community. It currently has more than 46,000 shares, 48,000 likes and 18,000 comments showing admiration and compassion for the little dog’s bravery.

The dog died fighting the poisonous snake and preventing the cobra from entering the house, where it could attack any member of the family at any time. The second snake was killed as a result of the fight, but the dog was unable to escape the snake’s potent venom, which was seeping deep into his body.

The image of the owner documenting the last moments of his little dog’s life, as he happily wags his tail before closing his eyes and dying forever, is devastating.

Moana, the little heroic dog, is a Shih Tzu and Chihuahua mix, and was only one year old when she sacrificed herself to rescue her owner.

Even though they are not the same species and cannot speak the same language, their love is equal to that of a family. People’s devotion to this faithful animal touches their hearts, allowing them to understand that those who care for them are their family.
