Kartick Satyanarayan, one of the co-founders of Wildlife SOS, mentioned that it took about a month to knit each sweater for the elephants. The volunteers put in extra effort to make the clothing colorful and fun. As of now, three elephants have already been outfitted in their stylish sweaters, and there are hopes that the rest of the herd will also be looking fashionable next year. While waiting for their trendy attire, the sanctuary is making sure the elephants stay cozy with warm blankets, even if they’re not as fashionable.

The main priority of the sanctuary is to promote the happiness and health of the magnificent elephants, especially given the hardships they have fасed in the past. Satyanarayan emphasized the importance of protecting the elephants from the Ьгᴜtаɩ winter weather, as they are ⱱᴜɩпeгаЬɩe to illnesses such as pneumonia because of their prior mistreatment. Moreover, the cold temperatures can worsen their already existing arthritis, which is a major issue for many of the elephants in the sanctuary.
