Because of hunger, the cobra decided to attack the cubs while the mother was away. It lurks, waiting for an opportune moment to strike a fatal blow.
When only the weak young lions were left drinking water by the stream, the king cobra decided to attack.
However, the king cobra was distracted by the three choices at the same time, making its hunt unsatisfactory. All three cubs escaped in an instant.
Soon after, the mother lion returned. The king cobra quietly left to look for another source of food.
