Fire pits are hugely popular right now. With rule of six garden gatherings or a meet of two households outdoors back on the cards, people are rushing to make their lawns and patios warm, welcoming and full of friendly atmosphere. Fire pits are the perfect addition to a garden when placed in the middle or on the edge of a comfortable outdoor seating area.

There are plenty of styles of fire pit to choose from in a range of contemporary and traditional finishes, so spend some time thinking about your space and the design you want. Smaller spaces might benefit from something with a built-in log store to keep everything neatly together, while foodie types could go for a model with a barbecue grate . Lots of fire pits also can’t be used on timber decks, too, so do check before you purchase if you were planning to keep yours on your decking. Also think about whether you want your fire pit to stay in one place in the garden or whether you’d prefer a lighter, more portable design.
