Leopards (Panthera pardus) are one of four species of big cats in the genus Panthera that live in Africa and Asia. Although quite modest in size compared to other big cats in the family, leopards are formidable predators in the wild.
Leopards are solitary predators, so from an early age, they will be trained in important survival lessons by their mothers.
